Overview
Perform accurate analysis and reporting of beverage samples submitted as part of the Global Quality Marketplace (3C) Program, for line qualifications, innovation, troubleshooting and other customer needs in compliance with PepsiCo Global procedures and standards.
This is a temporary position for up to 12 months.
Responsibilities
Performs analytical testing on samples as per test schedule in compliance with PepsiCo Global procedures and standards.
Ensures an adequate supply of consumables, reagents and chemicals to maintain the operation of the lab.
Prepares lab solutions, reagents and controls in the lab.
Demonstrate competent use of laboratory business information and reporting systems (LIMS).
Reviews and interprets test results.
Work with team, Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager to ensure compliance to Global Quality Management System, as well as ISO17025 requirements and accreditation body requirements.
Conducts test method investigations and validations for accreditation where required.
Develops reference files, quality control charts, and graphs on laboratory data.
Participate and demonstrate competency in proficiency testing schemes, and ensure adequate follow up to the results recovered.
Demonstrate adherence to site and MS Health & Safety and Good Laboratory Practice policies and procedures.
Support the development of risk assessments within the Cork MS team and drive &S culture in the team.
Ensure good housekeeping and good laboratory practices.
Provide technical and analytical support to customers
Deliver analytical practical and theoretical training as required.
Qualifications
Analytical Chemistry/Nutritional Science/Food Science/Technology qualification to BSc degree level as a minimum requirement
Minimum 1-2 years work experience essential, with knowledge and experience of analytical techniques, instrumentation, and statistics
Experience in running UPLC/HPLC advantageous
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Flexibility regarding priority changes
Positive attitude and ability to work in a cross functional and global environment (cultural awareness)
Good organizational, time-management and teamwork skills
Self-starter, proactive in delivering results and a good organiser
Cooperate with co-workers within an organized team environment or work alone with supervision
Manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame
Exhibits a can-do attitude and a willingness to take on significant challenges
Ability to think and act on their own, while communicating needs and results appropriately
Ability to analyse and interpret data
Strong problem-solving skills
