Job Description Our client currently has an opening for an experienced and proactive Mechanical Engineer to develop and implement our automation projects.
You will play a critical role in designing automated equipment, implementing robust test frameworks, installing, validating the equipment and have responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise.
This role requires a strong understanding of automation best practices, test strategy, and Ops integration.
ResponsibilitiesBe a key player in one stream of the automated programPart of the development & implementation of automated equipmentWork as part of a cross functional team to ensure system integration is considered on all systemsBuild organizational capability by working to better support internal customers and the delivery of products and servicesCollaborate with other engineers, QA, and Ops to embed testing into the development and validationAnalyse issues that arise, identify root causes of failures, and ensure timely resolutionComplete FMEA's, review and support the development of FDS, SDS, equipment manuals etc.
Complete end to end validation of the system, along with other engineersDefine and monitor quality metrics and KPIs to ensure the process is robustParticipate in requirements and design reviews to provide input from a testability and automation perspectiveCommunicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting with support team members and with external agentsContinuously improve the performance of the processFollow required client quality and regulatory standards with all work executed RequirementsHas minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment in life sciencesDemonstrable strong analytical & problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentLevel 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent technical experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experienceProven Project Management skills through the delivery of projectsStrong communication and influencing skills, both internal and externalExcellent presentation and written / verbal communication skillsDemonstrable ability to work autonomouslyA team player, with a flexible approach.
