The role of Library Facilities Assistant is a vital position within the library, requiring individuals who can provide excellent customer service and support to patrons. This role involves maintaining the safety and security of the library, monitoring buildings and spaces, and reporting any maintenance or other issues.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess excellent communication skills, be professional and user-focused, and have a flexible attitude towards work. The ideal candidate will also have experience working in a team environment and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
As a key member of the library facilities team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the library and providing an excellent experience for our users. They will work closely with other staff members to deliver administrative and operational support, provide first-line assistance during emergencies, and contribute to the overall success of the library.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate may also be required to answer admissions/access queries, provide information on lending policies and library services, and assist with promoting the library's services and facilities.
