Senior Research Fellow Opportunity
About the Position
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Research Fellow to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team focused on developing innovative solutions for neonatal brain injury.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop, refine and validate in vitro models of hypoxia and neurovascular injury relevant to neonatal brain damage.
* Conduct comprehensive proteomic and transcriptomic analyses (RNA-seq) to elucidate mechanisms of action for MSC and ECFC co-therapy.
* Pursue data integration to identify therapeutic pathways and biomarkers.
* Establish and monitor critical quality attributes (CQAs), including identity, purity, viability and immunophenotype, and develop potency assays.
* Craft release criteria ensuring product consistency and regulatory compliance.
* Lead project teams, managing milestones, deliverables, and data quality standards.
* Mentor junior researchers and PhD students.
* Publish research findings in manuscripts, grant reports, and contribute to regulatory submissions.
* Present results at scientific conferences, consortium meetings, and stakeholder briefings.
Key Requirements:
* PhD in Neuroscience, Cell Therapy, Regenerative Medicine or a related field.
* 4+ years post-doctoral experience in relevant research areas.
* Demonstrated leadership with a strong publication record, international conference presentations, and supervision of junior staff/PhD students.
* Expertise in cell biology (MSCs, ECFCs) and neuronal/neurovascular modeling.
* Familiarity with omics technologies (proteomics, transcriptomics) and data analysis techniques.
* Experience defining CQAs, potency assays, and ATMP release criteria.
* Awareness of regulatory frameworks for ATMPs and translational research towards clinical trials.
* Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
