Location - Kildare
The Junior Quantity Surveyor supports the Project Manager in delivering various build programmes across the country. This is achieved through the practical application of the company's management systems and the candidate's own knowledge and experience.
The role involves learning to manage project deadlines, understanding relevant rules and regulations, and maintaining strong client and employee relations.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the project management team
* Measure sub-contract works for payment and final account purposes
* Assist in recording and agreeing extra works and day works
* Support the measurement, certification, and agreement of subcontractor accounts
* Help document relevant events for delay and loss/expense claims
* Measure subcontractor work for monetary payment systems
* Liaise with team members to ensure effective communication and a cohesive work environment
* Maintain an organized and suitable filing system
* Provide quantity surveying support to operations staff
Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role or a degree in
* Experience with subcontract models
* Construction Management
* Civil Engineering
* Surveying Management
* Understanding of procurement processes
* Familiarity with stock management
* Strong problem-solving abilities
* Comfortable handling and processing paperwork efficiently
* Proven ability to meet deadlines
* High level of self-discipline and commitment to quality and procedures
* Strong customer focus and dedication to service excellence
* Excellent attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Willingness to travel as needed
* Motivation to pursue career development opportunities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Full driver's licence required
