Senior Site Engineer Substation Project Ringsend, Dublin A Senior Site Engineer is required for a key energy infrastructure project involving the delivery of a new GIS substation building and associated external works in Ringsend, Dublin. This is a site-based role suited to an experienced engineer with strong technical and site delivery experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel, and general building works. This role is also suitable for ambitious Site Engineers (23+ years experience) who are ready to progress into a senior-level position with increased responsibility on site. Role: Support and lead day-to-day site operations for a GIS substation build and associated civils and building works. Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards. Coordinate subcontractors including RC, structural steel, cladding, blockwork, finishes, drainage, paving, and external works. Act as a key site representative, supporting the Site Manager and liaising with Project and Contracts Managers. Assist in programme delivery and sequencing of works across all site activities. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and project-specific requirements. Review RAMS, method statements, and safe systems of work. Carry out site inspections, quality checks, and progress reporting. Support coordination and resolution of technical queries and site issues. Maintain high standards of workmanship across all construction activities. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and senior management to ensure successful project delivery. Requirements: 23+ years experience as a Site Engineer on construction or civil engineering projects in Ireland (Senior level considered for stronger candidates). Strong background in reinforced concrete and structural steel works is essential. Experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects required. Energy or utilities project experience is beneficial but not essential. Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, and subcontractor management. Good knowledge of Irish Health & Safety regulations and compliance standards. Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and site reporting tools. Full driving licence and right to work in Ireland.
