The role
We are seeking an experienced Deskside Support Engineer in Dublin to support a key client. This role offers a great opportunity to grow your career with a leading IT service provider, working onsite with cutting-edge technology in a high-performing team.
Key responsibilities:
1. Provide onsite and remote support for hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
3. Manage user access and accounts in Azure Active Directory, including password resets and permissions.
4. Support mobile device deployment and management via platforms like Microsoft Intune.
5. Support Azure-hosted servers, including monitoring and basic configuration.
6. Assist with Windows Server administration and routine maintenance.
7. Handle IT onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning equipment and access.
8. Respond to incidents and service requests via ticketing systems, ensuring SLA adherence.
9. Collaborate with the IT team on escalations and long-term solutions.
10. Maintain documentation such as infrastructure diagrams, user guides, and asset registers.
11. Participate in hardware refreshes, software rollouts, and upgrades.
12. Follow ITIL best practices and internal policies.
13. Stay updated on new Microsoft and Azure technologies, engaging in training and certifications.
Key Requirements
1. 3rd Level IT-related degree (desirable)
2. 3-5+ years of relevant experience
3. Certifications in Azure, Office365; A+ and Network+ (desirable)
4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office365, and Windows Server
5. Understanding of ITIL framework
6. Experience meeting KPIs
7. Excellent remote communication skills
