We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic ECCE Room Leader to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for early childhood education, supporting childrens learning and development, and maintaining a high-quality, safe, and welcoming environment.
A reasonable standard of Irish is required, with the ability to speak and understand the language.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the ECCE room, ensuring the highest standard of care and education for all children.
Plan, implement, and review developmentally appropriate activities in line with Aistear and Síolta frameworks.
Ensure the daily routine and environment support childrens holistic development.
Use both English and Irish in supporting childrens learning and communication.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and families to provide a positive and inclusive service.
Maintain accurate records, observations, and reports on childrens progress.
Requirements
Minimum qualification: Fetac Level 6 in Early Childhood Care and Education (higher qualifications desirable).
Previous experience in a leadership role within an early years setting is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Aistear and Síolta frameworks.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to speak and understand Irish to a reasonable standard.
Role Details
Hours: ***** hours per week, including 5 hours planning time.
Contract: September-June (aligned with the primary school year calendar).
Pay: Negotiable, based on qualifications and experience.
All school breaks are fully paid.
