Part Qualified Accountant required with 3 years plus experience for a Galway based company. Accounting Technician qualification is an advantage. Hybrid (3 days in office).
Reporting to Financial Controller
Responsibilities:
1. Gather and monitor financial data (. sales revenues, costs, liabilities & assets)
2. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets, income statements and cash flows)
3. Perform month-end and year-end close processes
4. Manage tax payments
5. Oversee Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
6. Preparation of audit files & support liaising with auditors
7. Organise internal audits
8. Support the preparation of budgets (for the entire company and by department)
9. Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
10. Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
11. Analysis of financial trends
12. Prepare timely VAT/Intrastat returns through ROS
13. General administration & office filing and all other job-related tasks as required
14. Additional duties as assigned by Manager/CFO
Requirements:
15. Minimum 2/3 years experience in over all accounts and IATI qualification an advantage
16. Solid understanding of principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
17. Excellent administration and data entry skills with full knowledge of MS Office Suite and Revenue online procedures
18. Proficiency in NetSuite an advantage but not essential
19. Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software
20. Ability to work as part of a high-performing team as well as on your own initiative
