Job Description
We have an opportunity for an individual interested in career progression within Hospitality to join our team as Hospitality Support. The successful candidate will join a team in one of our client sites working a busy event schedule reporting to the Hospitality and Events Manager. Previous experience in Hospitality is desired.
Job Responsibilities
Organisation and multi-tasking ability
Service of food and/or beverages to customers to the standards set by the company
Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to in particular HACCAP regulations
Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture
Preparation of service area and/or service points
Clean and replenish service equipment
Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service
Food assembly and service of same in an efficient manner, which may include some light cooking
Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures
Handling cash transactions and ensuring the accurate cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company procedure and till procedures
Attend in-house training sessions
Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times.
To present an image at all times conducive to good customer relations
Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy
Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s policies and procedures
Other duties occasionally assigned by the Management team to ensure the smooth running of the department
Barista duties when Hospitality is quiet
An interest in food and service
Excellent customer service skills & courteous manner
Ability to work with minimal direction and as part of a team
Ability to complete paperwork as assigned by your line managerDedication and self-motivation
Good timekeeping
To contribute to maintaining high standards of personal hygiene
Qualifications
Previous experience with a catering or hospitality environment desirable.
Previous barista experience is desired.
Knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.
Good understanding of English.
Customer service experience.
Interest in career progression
