This role involves the clinical and professional management of nutritional care and dietetic requirements for patients diagnosed with renal failure, in collaboration with Clinical Nurse Managers at our clinic in Wexford. Managing the nutritional care of patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) requires complex dietary manipulation to support optimal medical and nutritional outcomes, while preventing nutrition-related complications and disease progression.
Qualifications Required
1. B.Sc. in Human Nutrition and Dietetics recognized by the Department of Health.
2. Diploma in Dietetics and Nutrition from Dublin Institute of Technology/BDA Renal Course or an equivalent qualification.
3. Alternatively, qualifications equivalent to (a) and (b).
4. Candidates from outside the Republic of Ireland must provide evidence of validation of their qualifications by the Department of Health.
5. Be registered or eligible for registration with CORU as a Dietitian.
6. Proficiency in the English language is mandatory.
Experience Required
1. 1-2 years of relevant post-graduate work experience in dietetics.
Professional Knowledge
1. Knowledge of renal dietetics and renal replacement therapies is advantageous.
