Java Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our Applications Development Team as a 3-month rolling contractor. This position involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, making effective communication and coordination essential.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and the Business Analysis team to refine product backlogs for assigned projects.
* Provide input for work item estimation and participate in prioritization processes.
* Contribute to design sessions to ensure clean, robust, and consistent enhancements in alignment with existing areas of the application.
* Ensure thorough unit testing of all code and perform code reviews to maintain code quality.
* Coordinate implementation of changes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Provide input on product strategy and direction, focusing on future enhancements and improvements.
* Troubleshoot and solve problems that may arise during development process.
* Represent team in project discussions and meetings.
* Support operations, delivery, and application teams in resolving issues as required.
Required Skills:
* 3+ years of experience in a Software Development role.
* Extensive demonstrable experience in Java development, including standard and enterprise levels.
* Experience with Spring framework is advantageous.
* Proficiency in at least one front-end framework such as Angular, VueJS, or React.
* Experience working with large-scale distributed and transactional systems with high-availability service-level agreements.
* Ability to follow established processes and workflows, ensuring adherence to best practices.
* Proactive mindset and ability to take initiative in problem-solving.
* Excellent communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with attention to detail.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, and Urban Code.
Note: As a rolling contractor, you will be engaged on a 3-month contract basis, with possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance. You will be expected to work collaboratively with the existing team and contribute to the successful delivery of assigned projects.
