Co facilitator of Clonmel Parent &Tot groups Clonmel Community Mother Programme Min Hours: 4 hours twice per week A volunteer with an interest and or experience in early year's development, play and positive parenting is required for the Clonmel Parent and Toddler Group in order to assist the team:- Preparing a child centred environment- Welcoming parents and children to the service- Interacting in a positive and friendly manner with both parents and children- Planning and supporting play activities- Supporting parents to build friendships- Assisting in the preparation of refreshments for parents and children (light snacks)- Helping set up / tidy up toys and equipment- Participating in the planning and reviewing of programmes- Assisting project staff to ensure a high standard of health and safety and good practice- Feeding back and completing with staff, when required, incident forms if any issues arise regarding child protection or health & safety- Facilitating staff to promote the parent child relationship of service users- Facilitating staff in encouraging parents to actively play with their children- Playing with the attending children in a child led manner Provide support to parents of children 0-5 years through Home Visiting Mother &Baby Groups, Parent & Tot Groups Activity Where Clonmel What's Required Confidential, Energetic, Willing to learn, Work as part of a team, Patient and enjoy interacting with parents & children Other Personable Skills Level of English Required Age Restrictions Over 18 Time and Commitment Required for this Role Minimum time commitment: 6 months Hours required: 4 hours twice per week Morning Afternoon Evening MONDAYTUESDAYWEDNESDAYTHURSDAYFRIDAYSATURDAYSUNDAYScreening Details for this Role Garda Vetting Informal Interviews Volunteers will be Provided with the Following Supports Supervision Initial induction and training Insurance cover Benefits You Will Receive as a Volunteer Work as part of a team build confidence stepping stone to future learning You may also like Co facilitator of Cahir Parent &Tot groups A volunteer with an interest and or experience in early year's development, play and positive parenting is required for the Cahir Parent and Toddler Group in order to assist the team:- Preparing a child centred environment- Welcoming parents and children to the service- Interacting in a positive and friendly manner with both parents and children- Planning and supporting play activities- Supporting parents to build friendships- Assisting in the preparation of refreshments for parents and children (light snacks)- Helping set up / tidy up toys and equipment- Participating in the planning and reviewing of programmes- Assisting project staff to ensure a high standard of health and safety and good practice- Feeding back and completing with staff, when required, incident forms if any issues arise regarding child protection or health & safety- Facilitating staff to promote the parent child relationship of service users- Facilitating staff in encouraging parents to actively play with their children- Playing with the attending children in a child led manner
