The role is responsible for providing responsive, consistent support and guidance to Medical Workforce teams across the Region. The postholder will coordinate key regional Medical Workforce processes, with a particular focus on Consultant employment control activity (RCECC/CAAC and associated system updates), acting as a central liaison between sites, NDTP and National Clinical Programme Leads to progress applications and resolve queries. The position requires a collaborative and supportive approach to the ongoing development of the Regional Medical Workforce service, including developing and maintaining robust tracking systems and datasets, producing timely management information and reports, and contributing to continuous quality improvement, innovation and the implementation of change to support organisational developments in Medical Workforce.
Essential Criteria
Candidates must have by the closing date of application:
* A third level qualification preferably in Human Resources or Health Services Management or other relevant qualification (Quality & Qualifications Ireland Level 8 or equivalent) and/or professional membership CIPD would be an advantage).
AND
* 5 years + experience at a mid to senior level in a Human Resource management role including developing, managing and delivering effective HR Strategies preferably including medical workforce experience.
AND
* A track record of successful leadership including a record of delivering change through strong interpersonal and communications ability.
AND
* Experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, as relevant to the role.
AND
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
