Is sinne Uisce Éireann. Gach lá, bímid freagrach as seirbhísí uisce atá slán, sábháilte agus inbhuanaithe a sholáthar do mhuintir na hÉireann. Mar fhóntas uisce rialáilte náisiúnta na hÉireann, is í ár bhfís go mbeidh Éire inbhuanaithe ann ina bhfuil meas ar uisce agus ina bhfuil sé cosanta, don domhan agus do na saolta uile a gcothaítear leis.

Is é an cuspóir atá ag Uisce Éireann ná a bheith inchurtha leis an dúshlán a bhaineann le seirbhísí bunathraitheacha uisce a sholáthar chun go mbeidh rath ar phobail. Ciallaíonn sé sin go bhfuilimid bródúil as an bhfreagracht a ghlacadh as ár soláthar uisce a chosaint agus córas sábháilte uisce a chur ar aghaidh chuig daonra atá ag fás go tapa agus fás sóisialta agus eacnamaíoch na hÉireann a chumhachtú.

Táimid paiseanta faoi chumhacht a thabhairt dár ndaoine, iad a chumasú tionchar dearfach a bheith acu ar phobail ar fud na hÉireann. An Ról:

Tá an réimse Bainistíochta Sócmhainní agus Inbhuanaitheachta freagrach as beartais sócmhainní, straitéisí agus pleananna a fhorbairt chun an infheistíocht shuntasach atá ag teastáil a dheimhniú le cur le bonneagar na hÉireann. Tugann an réimse spreagadh don infheistíocht agus do chlár na hinbhuanaitheachta agus na nuálaíochta agus glacann sé ceannaireacht ar ghníomhaíochtaí Rialaithe Timpeallachta agus Comhlíontachta, a chinntíonn go ndéantar monatóireacht leanúnach ar cháilíocht an uisce agus an fhuíolluisce.

Tá an Fhoireann Gnó Inbhuanaithe freagrach as inbhuanaitheacht a leabú ar fud Uisce Éireann, agus tá fócas ar leith ar Charbón Glan-Nialasach, Athléimneacht Aeráide, Fuinneamh, Caipiteal Nádúrtha, Geilleagar Ciorclach agus Inbhuanaitheacht Shóisialta. Áirítear leis seo athrú próisis an ghnó a chur chun cinn agus straitéis maidir le feabhsú leanúnach in inbhuanaitheacht a fhorbairt, chomh maith le comhoibriú ar fud lucht stiúrthóireachta an ghnó chun é seo a chur i bhfeidhm go rathúil.

Agus é/í freagrach don Bhainisteoir Gnó Inbhuanaithe, tá an Ceannasaí Teicniúil Comhairleach um Astaíochtaí Corpraithe freagrach go príomha as tacaíocht a thabhairt d'Uisce Éireann agus dá shlabhra soláthair, maidir le hastaíochtaí carbóin corpraithe a thuiscint agus a laghdú. Áirítear leis sin sonraí a bhailiú agus a anailísiú chun bonn eolais a chur faoi chinntí agus tacú le forbairt straitéisí, caighdeán agus spriocanna a bhaineann le carbón leabaithe, lena n-áirítear tacú lena gcur chun feidhme chun feidhmíocht inbhuanaitheachta Uisce Éireann agus a shlabhra soláthair a fheabhsú go leanúnach.

Chomh maith le béim ar charbón corpraithe, cuirfidh an Ceannasaí Teicniúil Comhairleach um Astaíochtaí Corpraithe gníomhaíochtaí inbhuanaitheachta chun cinn ar bhonn níos leithne agus tacóidh sé leo ar bhonn níos leithne, rud a chinnteoidh go gcuirfear gnéithe inbhuanaitheachta san áireamh, go gcuirfear chun feidhme agus go leabófar iad in Uisce Éireann ó leibhéal na straitéise go dtí soláthar tionscadal agus oibríochtaí. Cuirfidh sé/sí le caighdeáin theicniúla agus sonraíocht theicniúil freisin chun tacú le prionsabail inbhuanaitheachta

Príomhdhualgais agus Freagrachtaí:


• Laghdú astaíochtaí gás ceaptha teasa a bhaineann le hinfheistíocht chaipitiúil a threorú, trí chomhairle agus treoir theicniúil shaineolach a sholáthar, i gcomhar le foirne eile.

• Freagrach as cur chuige saolré carbóin, mar aon leis an oiliúint agus an fheasacht ghaolmhar a mhúnlú agus a leabú ar fud Uisce Éireann agus a shlabhra soláthair, chun cuidiú le gealltanais inbhuanaitheachta glan-nialasachta a bhaint amach.

• Beartais, straitéisí agus próisis a threorú agus tionchar a imirt orthu agus pleananna a fhorbairt, chun an dea-cleachtas maidir le carbóin corpraithe i soláthar chláir oibre agus thionscadail Uisce Éireann a threorú.

• Bheith freagrach as treoir theicniúil agus tacaíocht i gcarbón corpraithe a scaipeadh ar shaineolaithe agus cleachtóirí ábhair ar fud an ghnólacht.

• Uirlisí a fhorbairt chun cuidiú le hastaíochtaí carbóin a bhaineann le hinfheistíocht chaipitiúil a ríomh agus tacú le comhghleacaithe agus iad ag tabhairt faoi chuntasaíocht carbóin agus ailíniú sonraí astaíochtaí le ceanglais tuairiscithe inbhuanaitheachta corparáidí.

• Tuiscint ar lorg carbóin oibríochtúil agus caipitil, cásanna réamhaisnéise; rioscaí agus deiseanna; dea-chleachtas seachtrach; agus forbairtí ábhartha beartais agus reachtaíochta náisiúnta agus idirnáisiúnta a choinneáil ar bun agus a fháil don ghnó.

• Comhoibriú le líonraí réigiúnacha agus náisiúnta chun obair Uisce Éireann a roinnt, foghlaim ó na forbairtí is déanaí agus cuidiú le cur chuige na heagraíochta maidir le tionchar a imirt ar bhainistiú carbóin corpraithe.

• Tacú go réamhghníomhach leis an ngnólacht chun comhlíonadh caighdeán agus creataí carbóin amhail PAS2080 agus ISO a bhaint amach agus a choinneáil.

• Tionscnaimh laghdaithe carbóin agus tionscnaimh inbhuanaitheachta ghaolmhara a shainaithint go réamhghníomhach, teicneolaíochtaí a mholadh agus na roghanna is tairbhí agus is cost-éifeachtaí ó thaobh inbhuanaitheachta de a mholadh.

• Tuarascálacha agus léirithe a fhorbairt chun éifeachtacht tionscnamh inbhuanaitheachta a chur in iúl.

• Gníomhú mar rúnaíocht do líon grúpaí oibre inmheánacha inbhuanaitheachta.

• Acmhainní faoi chonradh a fháil nó a bhainistiú chun cláir nó tionscadail inbhuanaitheachta a chur chun feidhme.

Dualgais agus Freagrachtaí Ginearálta

• Comhoibriú le príomhpháirtithe leasmhara inmheánacha ar fud ghnólacht UÉ.

• Freagrach as gealltanais sláinte agus sábháilteachta a chur chun cinn agus a chur i gcrích ar fud UÉ agus a shlabhra soláthair, iompraíochtaí dearfacha a neartú agus cuspóirí agus riachtanais sláinte agus sábháilteachta ar na caighdeáin is airde sa tionscal a chur i gcrích.

• Tacú le Chlár Bunathraithe Uisce Éireann a chur i gcrích, torthaí a theastaíonn laistigh den Stiúrthóireacht a spreagadh, agus tacaíocht a thabhairt do chuspóirí uile-eagraíochta a bhaint amach.

• Dualgais agus freagrachtaí a chur i gcrích i gcomhréir le beartais, caighdeáin, próisis agus rialuithe Slándála Faisnéise Uisce Éireann chun rúndacht, sláine agus infhaighteacht faisnéise gnó de chuid Uisce Éireann a chosaint, agus seirbhísí ríthábhachtacha a chur i gcrích, i gcomhréir le Treoir NIS (Slándáil Líonra agus Faisnéise) agus le rialachán cibearshlándála ábhartha eile ar bith.

• Dualgais eile de réir mar is gá
Eolas, Scileanna agus Taithí:


• Tá cáilíocht tríú leibhéal agus / nó creidiúnú gairmiúil ábhartha inmhianaithe.

• Tá taithí oibre 5 bliana ar a laghad ar inbhuanaitheacht a bhaineann leis na hearnálacha uisce, fóntais nó bonneagair inmhianaithe.

• Tá eolas láidir ar mhaolú an athraithe aeráide agus ar astaíochtaí carbóin inmhianaithe.

• Tá eolas láidir ar an tionscal fóntais uisce inmhianaithe.

• Cumas a bheith ionat comhpháirtíochtaí straitéiseacha éifeachtacha a fhorbairt agus a chothabháil le príomhpháirtithe leasmhara ar bhonn inmheánach nó seachtrach.

• Scileanna anailíse láidre agus cumas anailís a dhéanamh ar fhadhbanna agus ar ghnéithe feabhais féideartha agus iad a shainaithint agus réitigh a mholadh agus a chur chun feidhme.

• Taithí chruthaithe ar thimpeallacht oibre chomhoibríoch a chruthú agus cumarsáid shoiléir a dhéanamh leis an bhfoireann, le foirne inmheánacha eile agus le páirtithe leasmhara.

The Role:

The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland's infrastructure. The area drives investment and the sustainability and innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored.

The Sustainable Business Team is responsible for embedding sustainability across Uisce Éireann, with a primary focus on Carbon Net Zero, Climate Resilience, Energy, Natural Capital, Circular Economy and Social Sustainability. This includes championing business process change and developing strategy for continuous improvement in sustainability together with collaborating across business directorates for successful implementation.

Reporting to the Sustainable Business Manager, the Embodied Emissions Advisory Technical Lead is primarily responsible for supporting Uisce Éireann and its supply chain, in understanding and reducing embodied carbon emissions. This includes collating and analysing data to inform decisions and supporting the development of embodied carbon related strategies, standards and targets, including supporting their implementation to continuously improve the sustainability performance of Uisce Éireann and its supply chain.

In addition to a focus on embodied carbon, the Embodied Emissions Advisory Technical Lead will champion and support sustainability activities more broadly ensuring that sustainability aspects are considered, implemented and embedded in Uisce Éireann from a strategy level through to project delivery and operations. They will also input into technical standards and specification in support of sustainability principles.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


• Guide the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with capital investment through the provision of expert technical guidance and direction, in collaboration with other teams.

• Responsible for shaping and embedding carbon lifecycle approaches, associated training and awareness across Uisce Éireann and its supply chain, to assist realise net zero sustainability commitments.

• Lead and influence policies, strategies and processes and develop plans, to guide embodied carbon best practice in the delivery of Uisce Éireann work programmes and projects.

• Responsible for dissemination of technical guidance and support in embodied carbon to subject matter experts and practitioners across the business.

• Develop tools to assist in calculating the carbon emissions associated with capital investment and support colleagues in the undertaking of carbon accounting and alignment of emissions data with corporate sustainability reporting requirements.

• Maintain and grow for the business, the understanding of operational and capital carbon footprints, forecast scenarios; risks and opportunities; external best practice; and relevant national and international policy and legislative developments.

• Collaborate with regional and national networks to share Uisce Éireann's work, learn from latest developments and assist shape the organisational approach to embodied carbon management.

• Proactively support the business in obtaining and maintaining compliance with carbon standards and frameworks such as PAS2080 and ISO

• Proactively identify carbon reduction and related sustainability initiatives, recommend technologies and advocate for the most cost-effective and beneficial options for sustainability.

• Develop reports and presentations to communicate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.

• Act as secretariat for a number of sustainability related internal working groups.

• Procure and manage contracted resources to implement sustainability programs and projects.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business

• Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards

• Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives

• Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation

• Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:


• Relevant third level qualification and or professional accreditation is desirable.

• A minimum of 5 years work experience in sustainability related to the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors is desirable.

• Strong knowledge of the climate change mitigation and carbon emissions is desirable.

• Good knowledge of the water utilities sector is desirable.

• Ability to develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems, potential improvements and propose and implement solutions.

• Proven track record of creating a collaborative work environment and communicating clearly within the team, with other internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and innovation.

• Experience in project management and managing multiple projects and deadlines in tandem.

• Experience in facilitating meetings and administration for internal working groups.

• Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional and ethical standards with proven ability to deliver results.

• Experience in contributing to a safe working environment and actively supporting the highest levels of safety and wellbeing practices.
