Head of Retail/ Buying – Mayo
Our client, an iconic Irish brand with over a century of heritage in premium home and furniture retailing, is looking for a Head of Retail based out of Mayo.
As Head of Retail, you will be passionate, creative, and commercial, with a strong track record in developing business strategies, selecting product ranges, and managing the online presence. This role would suit a senior Area Manager with solid retail experience who is looking for a creative and independent role where they can make a real difference.
Travel is required for this role.
Duties of this Head of Retail role include:
* Oversee and shape the development and communication of retail strategies across stores, concessions, and the online platform.
* Build an excellent understanding of the brand and ensure this is effectively reflected in the buying strategy.
* Lead and manage the retail team, driving performance, development, and coaching to consistently deliver on sales targets.
* Ensure high standards in retail operations, customer experience, and commercial performance, while managing special projects and overseeing retail events.
* Drive revenue growth by selecting the most suitable products for the brand’s customer base, staying ahead of market trends, and analysing sales data.
* Manage budgets and oversee P&L responsibilities, ensuring financial targets are met.
Skills and experience required of the Head of Retail Role:
* Proven track record of developing and implementing successful retail strategies, ideally in the position of Multi-site management or Area Manager
* Buying or selection is advantageous
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify market opportunities.
* Customer-focused, with a commitment to exceptional service.
* Experience leading, managing, and developing retail teams to achieve results.
* Passionate about the luxury, high-end retail sector.
* Flexibility to travel as needed - Full license and Car required
