Job Title:
General Operative - Dan O'Connor Feeds
JOB PURPOSE:
Enable the business to achieve the agreed targets within the business functions of forklift driving, Industrial Cleaning, lorry loading and machine operations.
REPORTING TO:
Production Manager
LOCATION: Dan O'Connor Feeds, Limerick
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
Through the industrial cleaning process ensure the plant is kept to the highest standard while working to targets set out under our UFAS accreditation.
Forklift driving through loading of lorries or general upkeep of the production site
Knowledge of machine operations to ensure cover can be provided during breaks

Maintaining standards in the area: maintaining paperwork/company records
The role will involve shift work
Liaise with grain/transport department.
Ensuring that raw materials pass quality inspections
Reviewing incoming raw materials
Actively monitoring and managing stock rotation
Liaising with the weighbridge and production regarding incoming orders and any potential shortages
Help to achieve departmental and company objectives
Help to maintain company standards, e.g. quality, safety, efficiency, yield, energy, hygiene, people co-ordination etc.
Driving duties which include driving a forklift truck, loader, artic truck shunter
Performing a wide range of tasks on site
Any other duties as directed by your manager
Qualifications And Competencies
Attention to detail
Strong work ethic and flexibility
General PC Literacy is desirable
Having forklift driving experience and holding a current licence is desirable
Good documentation skills
Forklift truck licence, loader licence, E licence a distinct advantage
Excellent command of English (both written and verbal)
Strong communication skills
Adaptive and flexible to changing technologies, process and environments
Have a working knowledge of the production process would be a distinct advantage
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong organisational skills
Strong inter-personal and communication skills
High motivation, flexibility and the ability to work on own initiative
