Support Worker / Driver

We are seeking a highly motivated Support Worker/Driver to join our teams in Dun Laoghaire and Sandyford.
Contract: Permanent, full or part‑time hours considered.
Salary: €34,382 – €41,607 pro‑rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's Long Service Increments.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro‑rata per annum (proportional for less than 12 months).
Post Overview: The role combines driving service owners to and from day services and supporting their daily living, personal care, mobility, and participation in activities. The holder will also help develop training, employment, and community inclusion opportunities.
Candidates must be available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
* Transport service owners to and from day services and facilitate other transport needs.
* Assist with personal care, mobility, and participation in activities of choice within day services and the community.
* Provide support to develop training, employment, and inclusion options for individuals.
Essential Criteria
* FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Social Care or comparable health‑care area, or currently undertaking such a certificate with 2‑3 relevant modules completed.
* Clean Class B manual driver's licence.
* Eligible to work in the State.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience supporting people with disabilities in employment, voluntary or personal settings.
* Experience providing personal care to adults.
* Experience working with adults in social/leisure settings.
* Experience in community or non‑centred settings.
* Basic IT skills.
* Knowledge of routine vehicle maintenance.
* Experience positioning and clamping wheelchairs and occupants in vehicles.
