Our client, a leading semi-state infrastructure organisation, is seeking an experienced Vendor Management SME to join their Enterprise Services team on a 12-month contract basis.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation of a sourcing strategy, designing and embedding strategic vendor management processes, governance structures and reporting frameworks across the organisation's supplier ecosystem.
This role will focus on translating IT Service Management (ITSM) aligned methodologies into practical, scalable vendor management practices that strengthen governance, supplier performance and value delivery.
Key Benefits 12-month contract Hybrid working model (2 days per week onsite in Dublin city centre) Opportunity to shape strategic vendor management frameworks Work within a major enterprise sourcing and service transformation programme Immediate start available Responsibilities Design and document end-to-end vendor management processes aligned to ITSM principles including onboarding, performance management, risk management, escalation and continuous improvement Define roles, responsibilities, workflows and controls to ensure consistent vendor interactions across IT and business functions Develop and implement a structured vendor governance framework covering operational, tactical and strategic oversight Establish governance forums, meeting cadence and escalation paths to ensure effective supplier oversight and accountability Develop vendor performance reporting frameworks including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, dashboards and compliance metrics Collaborate with service owners, procurement and finance teams to ensure reporting supports contractual obligations and drives actionable insights Lead stakeholder engagement and change management activities to embed new vendor management processes Deliver training, communications and adoption tracking to ensure successful rollout of new governance frameworks Integrate risk management, audit requirements and regulatory considerations into vendor governance processes Ensure vendor performance and compliance issues are tracked, escalated and resolved through formal governance channels Identify opportunities to optimise vendor management practices through automation, tooling and data-driven insights Requirements ***** years' experience in IT service management, vendor management, sourcing or service delivery environments Strong understanding of IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL and their application to vendor and service management Experience designing or implementing vendor governance models, service management processes or sourcing frameworks Proven ability to develop structured governance models, reporting frameworks and supplier performance metrics Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and business teams Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement Experience in IT sourcing, service delivery or supplier performance management Strong process design capability with a structured and detail-oriented approach Excellent communication and facilitation skills with experience leading governance forums or cross-functional workshops Desirable Experience in IT procurement, supplier relationship management or commercial negotiations Experience supporting organisational change during sourcing transitions or service integration programmes Experience working in complex multi-vendor environments Experience working on both customer and supplier sides of service delivery or vendor management ITIL certification or formal IT Service Management training SONCATB Tags: Contract RolePublic Sector / Semi-StatePriority Sourcing
