Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading consultancy within Ireland's planning and development sector in their search for an experienced Associate Planner or Senior Town Planner to join their dynamic and growing planning team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious planning professional to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across Ireland, within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Based in a prestigious Dublin city centre office, the successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across Planning, Architecture and Project Management, delivering high-quality strategic planning advice to a wide range of clients.
The Role / Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of Irish planning and environmental legislation
Provide strategic planning advice on project direction and forward-planning initiatives
Manage, liaise and negotiate with multidisciplinary project teams, consultees, planning authorities and third parties
Prepare and manage planning applications, LRDs, feasibility and due-diligence assessments, tender submissions and strategic planning policy work
Contribute to EIARs, RIAs, HNDAs and related assessments
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Oversee project management duties, including financial and budget management
Engage with internal and external professional consultants to ensure effective project delivery
Identify and support new business and marketing opportunities across a range of sectors
Undertake research and policy analysis
Mentor, manage and support junior members of the planning teamAbout the Candidate
Degree or recognised qualification in Planning
Relevant experience in the private or public sector
Membership of the IPI and/or RTPI, with chartership achieved or actively progressing
Previous consultancy experience with strong knowledge of the Irish planning system
Proven experience leading and managing large-scale planning projects
Highly motivated, ambitious and commercially aware
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong client management and relationship-building ability
Ability to manage xyswxtq multiple projects while leading and supporting junior colleagues
