is currently working with a well-established civil engineering company that's known for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across a range of sectors in Ireland. They're committed to doing things the right way by bringing innovation, sustainability, and genuine pride in their work to every project.
They're now looking for an experienced
Project Manager
to join their team and take the lead on coordinating and managing on-site construction activities.
What the Role Involves
* Reviewing project plans and creating a clear, detailed baseline programme using Microsoft Project
* Tracking progress and keeping the client updated throughout the project
* Identifying delays and critical-path issues, and negotiating extensions of time when needed
* Monitoring costs, spotting areas where budgets might slip, and helping shape solutions
* Flagging and negotiating project variations with the client
* Managing contract documentation and making sure all required notices are issued on time
* Line managing the Site Agent, Project Engineer, and QS, and overseeing all site staff through the Site Agent
* Reviewing and approving monthly progress claims
* Signing off on RAMS and other key H&S documentation before works begin
* Carrying out regular safety and quality audits
* Addressing any design issues and working with the client to resolve them
What They're Looking For
* Solid experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering or construction
* Background in utilities or experience working within the road corridor is a big bonus
* Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
* Full driver's licence
* Civil engineering background preferred
