Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team in the Day of Surgery Admission (DOSA) Unit. As a key member of our frontline team, you will play a vital role in providing quality service and making the patient journey to theatre as efficient as possible.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive pre-operative evaluations, reviewing patient health history, ordering tests (ECGs, bloods), and optimizing patient health before surgery. They will also collaborate with surgeons and anaesthetists to determine fitness for anesthesia, provide education, and ensure informed consent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work as a member of the nursing team on day duty and perform duties as allocated by the Clinical Nurse Manager;
* Deliver skilled practical care to patients; participate in monitoring planning delivery evaluation individualized patient care ensuring focus on patients' needs
