Overview
My client, an SME based in D1, has a requirement for an experienced accounts assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with excellent communication skills and a strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices, financial administration, and accounting software. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting management with timely reporting.
This role is Hybrid but will be office based in probation while you learn the business.

About Your New Job
* Responsible for accounts preparation to Trial Balance level
* Balance Sheet Control account reconciliation
* Support month/quarter end close processing
* Inputting Payments and Receivables as necessary
* Banking and Intercompany reconciliation
* Assisting with audit preparation
* Report development and implementing system changes
* Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and ad-hoc reports
* Participate in preparation of budgets/forecasts and variance reporting
What skills you need
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
* Qualified accounts technician or working towards this qualification
* Worked with Sage 200
* Strong excel
