Department: Finance & AccountingReports To: Senior Accountant / Finance ManagerLocation: Darach Mor Place Site Office, Arden Road, TullamoreEmployment Type: Part-time (22.5 hours) flexible breakdown either 3 full days or 5 half daysSalary: From €16.8k - €21kJob Purpose:To support the finance and accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting to the Finance Manager and Directors of the company. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organised, and familiar with construction accounting needs.Key Responsibilities:Assist with the preparation of financial reportsProcess and track supplier invoices, purchase orders, and expense claimsMatch and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsMonitor project costs, labour charges, and materials expensesPrepare bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closeMaintain accurate records of all transactionsPrepare Drawdown of funds support documentation to supply to the bank to support the release of funds.Support payroll processing and subcontractor payments (RCT rules) in coordination with Project teamsLiaise with Commerical Director and Finance Manager and site teams to gather financial data and clarify documentationAssist auditors and support the preparation of year-end auditPerform general administrative duties related to finance, including filing, scanning, and documentationAssist the Site Manager with BCAR uploads of documentation including preparing ancillary certificates for subcontractors and uploading relevant documents onto Sharepoint for the Assigner.Key Requirements:Education & Qualifications:At least an Accountant Technician qualification.Experience:Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a construction environmentFamiliarity with construction accounting processes, including job costing and RCT, is desirableKnowledge of SAGE 50 is desirable.Skills & Competencies:Strong numerical and analytical skillsProficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage 50) and Microsoft ExcelUnderstanding of VAT, payroll, and RCTAttention to detail and accuracy in data entryStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication skillsContact us at and we will be in contact as soon as possible.
