#SETUW South East Technological University (SETU) is one of Ireland's highest performing higher education institutions when it comes to research and innovation. SETU has consistently been successful in the acquisition of external funding and is noted for its research partnerships at regional, national and European levels, the quality of its graduates and its focus on the translation of its research for economic and societal benefit. The TU RISE project is a strategically important project, with the overarching goal of elevating SETU and regional research and innovation activity, the Talent officer will play a key role in this project. SETU Research is looking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated and organised individual to join the wider team and support the office of Research, Innovation and Impact (RII). Working with colleagues in both the central HR office and RII office, the TU RISE Talent Officer will help deliver high-quality HR support and training activities including Talent Attraction and Retention for early career research staff on the TU RISE project and the delivery of the third call of an established research Sabbatical scheme. The Talent officer will provide a comprehensive and professional HR service to key stakeholders including HOR, HOS/HOF and Heads of Units/Centres/Companies associated with the RISE project. Working closely with the Head of Research, RII office staff, and in collaboration with key stakeholders from across the University, the successful candidate will be responsible for the onboarding of all staff, researchers and engaged on the TU RISE project at SETU. The appointee will support the recruitment postdoctoral fellows and staff providing advice on visa-related matters, living in the region and induction-related advice pertaining to SETU processes and systems.
