Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Broadcast Engineer to fill a critical role at our National Monitoring Centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational status of our transmission networks, identifying issues, and performing remedial actions using remote-control technologies and graphical interfaces.
This position involves troubleshooting problems, undertaking routine maintenance, and serving as the first point of contact for business customers and the public, making it highly customer-facing.
* Monitoring & control of various transmission networks and DTH platform
* Fault diagnosis and analysis
* Interrogation of systems and fault analysis
* Dissemination of data within 24 hours
* Communication with management regarding incidents
* First-line maintenance of transmission systems
* Customer liaison and public communication
* Maintenance of our website
* Data collation for reporting
* Managing site access and lone worker coordination
* Specifying user requirements for upgrades
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Technical qualification in electronics or telecommunications
* Experience in a technical, customer-focused environment
* Strong IT skills, including MS Office
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work under pressure and engage in problem-solving
* Performance-driven with strong organizational skills
* Availability for shift work over 7 days
