Senior Engineering Manager for FMCG Manufacturing Operation
This excellent manufacturing operation are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to take full ownership over and drive the Engineering function onsite. The role sits on the Management Team and is a strategic role for all technical based projects onsite.
Responsibilities
* Develop the full Engineering strategy for the site.
* Take full ownership over the Engineering team, budget setting and project costing where applicable.
* Work with other senior leaders in achieving the targets for overall site performance.
* Drive continuous improvement within the engineering department where possible.
* Manage and develop the Engineering team to strengthen the skills onsite including driving a strong continuous improvement culture, including all KPI setting.
* Ensure all H&S and Quality procedures are promoted throughout all engineering activities.
* Ensure all Maintenance systems and documents are kept up to a very high level.
* Drive a strong culture of development within the Engineering team to ensure the strength of the division enhances.
* Take a lead role in the recruitment for the Engineering team where necessary.
* Other duties may arise for the role.
Requirements
* 5 years’ experience as an Engineering Manager is essential.
* Experience managing a team of technicians is essential.
* Experience in FMCG or Life Science manufacturing is essential.
* Third level Degree qualification or a relevant trade is required.
* Strong communication and decision-making skills are essential.
