Job Title: Interim Operations Manager - Domestic Abuse Refuge and Outreach Services

We are seeking a highly experienced Interim Operations Manager to provide short-term support for the day-to-day coordination of our domestic abuse refuge and outreach services during a period of leadership transition.


About the Role

This is a key operational role to ensure continuity, stability, and adherence to organisational policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong team leadership, operational management, and organisational skills.


Key Responsibilities:

* Operational Oversight
o Oversee daily operations of refuge and outreach services, ensuring effective service delivery, staff coordination, and issue resolution.
* Staff Management & Supervision
o Provide leadership in the absence of service leads, support staff performance, monitor rosters and attendance, and maintain accountability.
* Policy, Procedure & Compliance
o Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures, conduct internal audits, and escalate safeguarding or quality concerns.
* Administration, Reporting & Compliance
o Manage databases, ensure accurate data entry, prepare reports, support audits, and assist with fundraising and financial admin tasks.
* Liaison with Leadership
o Work closely with the CEO on operational decisions, quality standards, and weekly reporting.
* Team Coordination
o Facilitate effective inter-team communication, meetings, and implementation of service programming in the absence of key coordinators.


Person Specification:

* Experience
o 5+ years' experience in operations or service management in social care, housing, healthcare, or similar sectors.
* Skills and Qualifications
o Proven team management and accountability-building skills.
o Highly organised with strong attention to detail and task completion.
o Capable of working independently while effectively reporting to leadership.
o Experienced in policy and procedure implementation.
o Strong communication, people management, and conflict resolution abilities.
o Calm, flexible, and solution-focused in high-pressure settings.
o Full clean driver's licence and access to transport required.


Desirable:

* Experience in women's services, crisis accommodation, or charitable organisations.
