The RoleThe Interim Operations Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing programme delivery, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting strategic growth. This is a hands-on position requiring strong people management, financial oversight, and programme coordination experience.Key responsibilities include:Lead and motivate the Project Delivery Team, ensuring regular support, supervision, and performance managementEnsure compliance with organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding, legal, financial, risk management, health & safety, and employment standardsSupport business development initiatives, including identifying funding opportunities and contributing to bid and contract development aligned to strategic objectivesMonitor and manage programme budgets, ensuring grant-funded claims are submitted accurately and within agreed timescalesOversee the delivery of a portfolio of community projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed outcomesIdentify risks to project delivery and support Project Delivery Managers in implementing effective mitigation strategiesThe PersonEssential Criteria:Proven experience in an operations or programme management role, ideally within the community, environmental, or third sectorStrong leadership and staff management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop teamsDemonstrable experience managing budgets and overseeing financial complianceExperience ensuring organisational compliance across governance, risk, and health & safety frameworksExcellent organisational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyDesirable Criteria:Experience in business development, including funding applications and bid writingKnowledge of grant-funded programmes and reporting requirementsFamiliarity with community development or environmental project deliveryRelevant professional qualificationPackage & BenefitsCompetitive salary (dependent on experience)Supportive and collaborative working environmentHow to ApplyTo apply for this role, submit your CV via the application form provided.
