Job Summary:
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times in the kitchen and that the quality of washup is at the appropriate and highest standard in line with the HACCP system in place in the home.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
* To maintain HACCP standards in food handling and hygiene.
* To understanding the requirements to maintain food and kitchen hygiene including all kitchen ware.
* To maintain high standards of cleanliness in your kitchen, dining room and sitting room space.
* To maintain stock control and cleanliness of your pantry, kitchen area.
* Ensure all equipment is in clean and in good repair and presentable.
* To take full responsibility for your role in running the following, food service, neat & clean kitchen, dining and sitting room areas assigned to you.
* To be aware of the environmental standards required and use your initiative to address or escalate any issues that arise.
* Be responsible for reporting any Health & Safety concerns identified in your house.
* To understand resident's needs and requirements, respect the resident's rights and choice.
* To provide meals and drinks on time during meal service and as requested by residents throughout the day.
* To undertake any other duties as required to maintain efficiency in the smooth running as delegated by your line manager or manager on duty.
* To help maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors through awareness of health and safety policies and by attending training as required.
* To attend the necessary training appropriate to your role, food service and cleaning of the area.
* Duties include, any duties associated with preparing and serving meals, cleaning up after meals and maintaining the kitchen dining & sitting room areas in your house to the standard required by Bridhaven.
Requirements:
* Must demonstrate the ability to work both as a team member and use your own initiative.
* Must be prepared to attend education & training to ensure you have knowledge and skills to perform your duties to a high standard.
* Be willing to carry out the necessary duties assigned by your line manager or manager on duty.
* Elder care experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Eligibility To Work In Ireland - Due to immediate service requirements, this role is open to applications who hold EU/EEA citizenship with the right to work in Ireland without restriction. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to support visa applications or work permits for this role at this time.
