As a 360 Machine Operative you will be responsible for tasks including loading and unloading of containers and curtain sidings, recycling sorting, conducting machine checks, and operating plant machinery such as a forklift, loading shovel, or 360 excavator (as appropriate). You will also ensure good site housekeeping.
Key Accountabilities
* To undertake the operation of mobile plant as directed by the site manager.
* To be able to operate to a good standard a 360 material rehandler tracked and wheeled.
* To be able to operate to a good standard a loading shovel, wheeled front loader.
* To ensure the mobile plant he is operating undergoes an inspection prior to use, with any defects or damage reported to the site manager and noted on the daily check sheet.
* To ensure mobile plant is greased, all radiators blow clean of dust, and all oil levels maintained in accordance with company/manufacturer procedures.
* To ensure the machine is operated responsibly and only used for the tasks it is designed to carry out.
* To communicate with colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the facility.
* To read, understand and follow all risk assessments, work procedures and safe systems of work.
* To ensure mobile plant is washed off at the end of each shift.
* To carry out tasks other than machine operation as requested by management.
Experience & Skills
* NPORS certification for operating relevant machinery (essential).
* High level of operational competence in heavy machinery handling.
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work flexibly and take on additional non-machine tasks when required.
* Attention to detail in inspections, reporting, and maintenance.
* Responsible and safe approach to equipment operation.
