We are seeking a qualified and experienced accountant to join our team in Co. Monaghan.
Job Description
This role will support the Finance department in reporting, cost control, inventory analysis, and supporting continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Financial Controller with preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and variance analysis.
2. Prepare journal entries (accruals, prepayments, stock adjustments, payroll postings).
3. Support weekly and monthly KPI reporting (volume, margin, plant efficiencies).
4. Contribute to budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
5. Assist in preparation of year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors.
Requirements
* Part or newly qualified Accountant with 1+ years experience in either industry or practice.
* Good analytical skills and comfort with large datasets.
* Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
* Understanding of commodity pricing, agricultural operations, and/or previous experience in FMCG is desirable.
