Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a knack for managing costs and ensuring the success of residential construction projects?
Our client, a leading player in residential construction, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of cost control, ensuring projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for residential construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions.
Procure materials and subcontractors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring quality standards are met.
Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors within the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction sector.
In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
