What You Need to Know:
Matrix Recruitment are seeking a Financial Accountant to join a busy finance team in a well-established organisation in North Dublin.
Your New Job:
You'll play a key role in supporting financial operations and helping to shape future accounting processes.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll collaborate closely with management and different teams on a permanent, onsite basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasting activities
Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators to drive continuous improvement
Provide clear insights into business performance for senior stakeholders
Lead financial elements of audit management in areas like energy and quality
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and governance frameworks
Conduct evaluations on organisational structures
Drive cost-saving initiatives
Support the annual external audit process
Prepare grant submissions including R&D tax credit claims
Work on ad-hoc projects to add value cross-functionally
What Are We Looking For?
Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA, or CIMA)
Minimum 3 years' financial and management accounting experience in industry
Strong background in budgetary, forecasting, and KPI reporting
Excellent proficiency in MS Excel and Word
Experience in costing environments is an advantage
Strong relationship management and organisational skills
Ability to analyse financial data and communicate insights
Proactive, ambitious, and able to work independently
Prior experience with Coins software is a bonus
