Position Title: Learning & Development Executive

Learning & Development Executive
.

We wish to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable person to join the Firm's HR & People Development team. The function of this role is to support the Legal and Professional Development team in delivering development programmes, enabling our internal talent to achieve their full potential.

The role requires experience in the delivery of training and supporting performance management.

Based in our Dublin office, the successful candidate will report to the Director of Legal and Professional Development and work closely with the wider HR and People Development team.

Applications for appointment on a full-time basis or a 4 day week basis will be considered.

The Learning & Development Executive will have responsibility for:

* Manage and coordinate the delivery of MF Advance, our in-house training programme delivered to trainee solicitors as part of the Law Society of Ireland's training requirements.
* Liaise, as required, with the Law Society, MF Advance subject leads and/or the external examiners on the MF Advance curriculum design, timetabling, trainee assessments and related issues.
* Manage our established training programmes.
* Create and develop further programmes for trainees and junior associates.
* Support the trainee and associate performance review process.
* Analyse individual personal development plans, focusing on the provision of meaningful solutions, including the design, delivery and evaluation of all training provided.
* Provider management (sourcing, selecting, reviewing and negotiating costs).
* Ensure that cost effective training is planned and delivered making the best use of internal/external resources available.
* Provide support and feedback to employees as they engage in career planning and development work.
* Support the annual early careers programmes.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

Education:

* A third level qualification - Training / Law/HR/Business/ Psychology or similar.

Professional Experience:

* The ideal candidate will have in the region of 3-5 years' experience in a Learning & Development role.
* Experience working with management teams and building strong credible relationships.
* Demonstrate the ability to work with and effectively communicate to all levels within an organisation and to deliver on learning targets in a cost effective and timely manner.
* Previous experience within a professional services firm or similar would be advantageous.

Knowledge & Expertise:

* Experience in design and delivery of workshops and other training formats;
* Ability to engage with senior stakeholders to scope, design and implement group learning events;
* Experience of exploring and assessing development needs with individuals;
* Experience of carrying out observation and giving feedback;
* Qualified to use psychometric tools would be advantageous.

Skills:

* Strong interpersonal, facilitation and mentoring skills are essential;
* Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills;
* A high degree of discretion;
* A positive attitude and a collaborative approach to working;
* Digitally literate, with an interest in emerging technologies, including Generative AI.
