Financial Controller
Our established client is seeking an experienced
Financial Controller
to take full ownership of the financial management, control, and reporting of the business. This is a senior, hands-on role supporting strategic decision-making and driving financial performance in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all finance operations, delivering accurate management and statutory reporting
* Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
* Maintain strong financial controls, compliance, and internal audit processes
* Manage cash flow, working capital, balance sheet reconciliations, and banking relationships
* Oversee payroll (weekly & monthly), revenue controls, stock, and cash handling
* Manage tax submissions and statutory filings, liaising with Revenue, auditors, and advisors
* Drive cost control, margin analysis, and profitability across departments
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
* Provide senior management with KPIs, financial performance, and payroll reports
Payroll & HR Oversight
* Administer employee benefits (TaxSaver, Bike to Work, PRSA auto-enrolment, etc.)
* Maintain accurate employee records in line with GDPR
* Manage starters, leavers, promotions, and payroll changes
* Oversee Time & Attendance systems and working time compliance
* Support payroll, payslip, Revenue, and sick pay queries
* Prepare monthly HR and payroll reports
The Ideal Candidate
* 4+ years' post-qualification experience in accounting/finance
* Hospitality, hotel, or leisure sector experience highly desirable
* Strong commercial, analytical, and leadership skills
* Payroll, HR systems, and
SAGE
experience an advantage
* Experience with hotel accounting/PMS systems beneficial
* Must have the right to work full-time in Ireland / EU
