The Opportunity
We're hiring a Principal Systems Engineer with deep expertise in high-availability infrastructure and VoIP systems.
This is a senior leadership role with a clear path toward Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
You'll own technical strategy, guide system architecture, and lead a small, high-performing engineering team — working closely with the CEO, Product, and Support teams.
What You'll Do
* Design and maintain Linux infrastructure (Colocation + AWS)
* Lead incident response and business continuity planning
* Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
* Oversee monitoring, performance, and reliability
* Act as Level 3 escalation for complex issues
* Manage and mentor a team of system engineers
* Set and enforce security and reliability standards
What You Bring
* 10+ years in senior systems or SRE roles
* Proven experience with high-availability systems
* Strong Linux/Unix administration skills
* MySQL/MariaDB (replication & scaling)
* Advanced networking (BGP, VLANs, iptables/nftables)
* VoIP expertise (SIP, RTP, WebRTC; Asterisk/FreeSwitch/Kamailio)
* AWS or public cloud experience
* Automation tools (Ansible, Puppet)
* Monitoring stacks (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
* Message queues (RabbitMQ, NATS, etc.)
* Scripting: Bash + one other (Go, PHP)
* Virtualization & containers (VMware, Proxmox, Docker)
* Strong security mindset and communication skills
