Responsibilities
The Person in Charge will support the Centre on a full-time contract. The role will suit experienced candidates with strong organisational and management skills, or candidates who wish to progress in their careers in a progressive organisation and are suitably qualified, skilled and experienced in managing a team in a social or healthcare setting. They will hold the necessary responsibility, authority, and accountability for the provision of the service with Nua Healthcare in line with relevant regulations. The Person in Charge will support with the delivery of duties within the Centre daily in line with regulations. This role includes:
* Ensure Personal Plans, Risk Assessments and Behavioural Support Plans are up to date and that services are delivered to high quality and safety standards
* Provide the highest quality of care and support to people who use the service
* Meet regulation compliance in accordance with Health ACT 2007 (Care and support of residents in designated centres for persons (Children and Adults; with disabilities) Regulations 2013
* Manage staff to provide support and coordinate input from Clinical Team and other departmental supports as required
* Provide mentorship and leadership to the team; conduct formal supervisions, appraisals and monthly team meetings
* Oversee the service across shifts to ensure effective and efficient delivery
* Adhere to local safety statements, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures
* Maintain high infection control standards as directed by policy and national practice guidance
* Act as an active leader and role model; contribute to and maintain an effective team
* Organise and participate in meetings, reviews and committees as required
* Seek and provide guidance from others for work performed
Qualifications
* Level 7/8 Degree in a Health or Social related field (or suitable equivalent with healthcare management qualification)
* Full Clean Driver’s license
Knowledge
* Minimum 3 years of managerial experience within a similar health or social care setting
