Job Description
We are recruiting a Chef de Partie to join the team at our client site near Cork City Centre. The role focuses on ensuring consistently high standards of food delivery and kitchen management across all sections of the business onsite. Flexibility with hours is required.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain food hygiene, service & presentation (HACCP & Health & Safety Legislation)
Aid with menu planning and costings to meet the budgeted Gross Profit Margin and eliminate waste where possible.
Conform food orders to company purchasing policy, using only approved suppliers.
Familiarise with all company policies and procedures and implement them daily to guarantee Food Safety and Hygiene.
Ensure all Food Safety/Quality records are carried out daily within the kitchen.
Maintain high hygiene standards for premises and personal hygiene.
Lead the team to deliver top‑line food for our clients.
Co‑operate with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager on checking, probing, and signing food deliveries to ensure high‑standard produce.
Verify food presentation is innovative and at the required temperature, recording temperatures on the appropriate charts.
Assist with stock takes as appropriate.
Review the kitchen hazard list weekly with the Chef Manager/Catering Manager.
Maintain good communications and working relationships with client, customers, and staff.
Carry out assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties to standard.
Perform any reasonable task that supports service, food preparation, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.
Qualifications
Relevant culinary qualification.
1–2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen.
Experience in industrial catering.
Experience with H.A.C.C.P. documentation.
Experience of menu planning.
Dedication and self‑motivation.
Good reliability and time‑keeping.
Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
Professional and courteous manner.
Passion for food and service.
Flexible approach to hours and duties.
Willingness to undergo training as required.
