Senior Design Engineer (Energy & Utilities) - REF: 2621aWe are looking to recruit a Senior Design Engineer to join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables design team.The Senior Design Engineer will have a client facing role. Some responsibilities are:Design & project management from conceptual phase through to project completion in the Energy and Utilities sectors in areas such as building services/energy upgrades, renewables (biogas, biomass, CHP, solar, hydro, industrial utilities), pipelines, and installations (gas, oil, water, or wastewater).Industrial and building services utilities design, HVAC, steam, refrigeration & compressed air systems.Energy retrofit upgrades of buildings and building fabric.Development of preliminary and detailed design calculations.Development of design drawings and specifications.Development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design reports.Balance of plant design.Design and implementation of energy saving projects.Attend and participate in HAZID/ HAZOP and LOPA studies.Carry out PSDP role.Location: Dublin office with consideration for Cork, Galway and Portlaoise offices.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:Mechanical engineering degree (Honours bachelor’s degree or higher), or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.7+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience.
