Role Summary
The role of the Intermediate Quantity Surveyor is a key position in the Commercial and Contracts team, supporting the Chief Civil Engineer and Infrastructure Management. The successful candidate will manage commercial and contractual aspects of projects from pre-contract to post-contract phases.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Chief Civil Engineer and Infrastructure Management team in managing commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
* Collaborate with Divisional Engineers from Track IM and Building and Facilities sections to communicate project requirements.
* Conduct site visits and take measurements to ensure project progress.
* Prepare Pricing Documents (PD) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in accordance with CESSM4 and ARM5 standards.
* Review and update Forms of Tender and Schedule (FOT) and Instructions to Tenderers (ITT) documents in collaboration with the Procurement Department.
* Analyse and assess Contractor variation and claim submissions according to respective contracts.
* Evaluate Contractor payment applications and prepare interim and final payment certificates.
Job Requirements
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying
* MSCSI and/or MRICS accreditation
* 5+ years' relevant work experience
* Excellent communication and financial skills
* Ability to multitask and work independently
