The role involves providing high‑quality care to residents and mentoring fellow Healthcare Assistants at the following location:
Woodlands House Nursing Home, Trim Rd, Navan, Co. Meath
Pay Rate: € 32,691.00 per annum, with 10% Saturday premium, 20% Sunday premium, and overtime premium. Contract: Permanent. Working hours: Full‑time, 39 hours per week. Benefits:

Role Responsibilities
Lead, train and mentor new Healthcare Assistants
Work closely with nurse managers and staff nurses to maintain the highest standards of care
Undertake hygiene and dressing functions for residents
Safe manual handling and transfer of residents within the nursing home
Deliver food to and feeding of residents; return used trays and dishes to kitchen, leaving rooms neat and tidy
Bed‑making and linen changes
Provide incontinence and toilet care, including emptying commodes and replacing catheter bags
Assist trained nurses with provision of psychological and social support as needed
Maintain continuous vigilance toward dignity, comfort, safety and whereabouts of residents
Ensure continuous adherence to hygiene, health and safety regulations
Perform any other duties as required
Role Requirements
Relevant healthcare qualification: Nursing, Allied Health, Medical or experience in a healthcare setting
Mentoring, training or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare
Minimum two years of care experience
Track record as a high‑performing healthcare assistant
Excellent communication and personal care skills
Knowledge of healthcare standards (HIQA, infection prevention, etc.)
