Job Description: This is a temporary externally funded contract post, with an indicative duration of 24 months.

The successful candidate will establish field research trials focused on the application of nitrification inhibitors to urine patches.

Key Responsibilities: Establish protocols for field experimental trials Conduct in-field measurements using static chambers and leachate collection drums Collate datasets and analyze results Besides these duties, you'll engage positively with project partners in Ireland and New Zealand and adapt your experiments as needed according to changing weather conditions.

About this Role: We're seeking someone who can work independently but also collaborate effectively within our team.

You should be skilled at developing protocols, establishing and running field research trials, and handling organic manures.

It's crucial that you have strong knowledge about pasture-based agriculture systems nitrogen cycling including loss pathways nitrous oxide emissions nitrate leaching, handling such chemicals like fertilizers & growth promoters which could affect soil fertility when used incorrectly.
