A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer Water to join their growing team, ideally based in Galway.
This is a senior opportunity to lead and shape a structural team delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland.
The role combines technical leadership, team management and business development, offering real influence over both project delivery and the future direction of the team.
Projects: Structural design for water and wastewater treatment plants Network and infrastructure upgrades supporting national water frameworks Flood alleviation and climate resilience schemes Multidisciplinary infrastructure projects across water, energy and environment sectors Large-scale projects aligned with Irelands National Development Plan Role: Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and mentorship Oversee structural design delivery, ensuring high-quality standards across all projects Take ownership of project performance including programme, budget and resourcing Act as a key link between multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery Build and maintain strong client relationships across the water sector Drive business development activities including bids, tenders and framework opportunities Support recruitment and growth of the structural team Requirements: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Level 8 or higher) Chartered Engineer (Engineers Ireland, Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers) Strong experience in structural engineering within a consultancy environment Experience in the water or infrastructure sector highly desirable Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering complex projects Salary & Benefits: €70,000 €80,000 DOE Hybrid and flexible working options Leadership role with real influence on team and project direction Strong pipeline of long-term water infrastructure projects Clear progression pathway within a global consultancy If youre a Senior Structural Engineer or Design Lead looking to step into a strategic leadership role, contact Jade Murray on for a confidential discussion.
