Role Summary The Senior Operations Manager role sits within the Operations team in ISIF reporting to the Deputy Director, Head of Operations. The ISIF Operations team is responsible for the non-investment activities within ISIF. The ISIF Operations team includes distinct roles relating to strategy and change, business application management, and communications and stakeholder engagement, in addition to this role covering core operations work. T he successful candidate for this role will be responsible for managing the core operations team of the ISIF and will encompass a broad range of non-investment activities, including co-ordination of services provided by NTMA corporate functions (including Finance, Risk, Internal Audit, Procurement, Facilities, Compliance, etc.). The successful candidate will be a senior member of the ISIF team, leading a small team to provide general operations support across the ISIF business unit. The role will have a high level of senior exposure and will play a key role supporting the ISIF Leadership Team. Principal Accountabilities The principal responsibilities will include: Support the delivery of the ISIF investment strategy by delivering effective and high-quality operational support to the ISIF team. Own and proactively lead the key ISIF relationship with NTMA Finance, acting as the central ISIF relationship point between various ISIF teams and NTMA Finance, monitoring and reporting against the delivery of services within the SLA and escalating matters as required. Own and oversee the delivery of ISIF's capital call process and procedures, liaising effectively with the ISIF Investment teams and ISIF Finance to help ensure that the process is robust and operates effectively. Oversee the coordination and management of ISIF's budget, forecasts, and outturn and ensure that processing activities for purchase orders, invoicing and capital calls operate effectively. Own and manage the ISIF relationship with NTMA Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, Procurement, Facilities, Secretariat, Legal and the other functions that are essential to the success of the ISIF. Maintain an effective operational risk management environment, working with NTMA Risk to manage and develop the ISIF's Risk register and the accompanying controls. Own and manage the delivery of ISIF's Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer processes. Support the delivery of internal and external information requests in line with deadlines including Parliamentary Questions, FOI requests, internal and external audit queries. Manage the ISIF Delegated Authorities and Authorised Signatory list, and monitor ISIF's level of compliance with applicable policies, procedures and standards, developing/updating internal policies and procedures, when required. Effectively communicate key changes to the wider ISIF team. Identify and implement improvements to ISIF operational processes and standards with reference to external peer funds and by liaising effectively with Operations teams within other NTMA Business Units. Manage ad hoc projects or initiatives which may arise within ISIF and represent ISIF in relevant NTMA cross-functional oversight and project activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and stakeholders, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Desired Experience The ideal candidate will have: A relevant third level qualification ideally in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline. Minimum of 10 years operations experience in one or of more of the financial sectors: investment management, private equity, corporate lending, corporate finance. Financial control experience, in relation to payments processing, budgeting and cost management. Compliance and AML experience. Managed operational activities delivering high quality outputs and process improvements throughout.
