We are partnering with a
leading international fund servicing and banking group
to appoint an experienced
Senior Financial Accountant/Financial Controller
on an initial contract basis. This role sits within a well-established Finance function supporting regulated Irish entities and branches within a global group structure.
This is a
hands-on financial control role
with broad exposure across management reporting, statutory and regulatory reporting, forecasting, and stakeholder engagement, working closely with senior management and group counterparts.
The Opportunity
The Financial Controller will support the production of
monthly management accounts and MI
, regulatory and statutory reporting, and financial planning activities across multiple Irish-regulated entities. You will work closely with the Finance leadership team to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality financial outputs in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare
monthly management accounts, MI packs and statistics
for senior management and quarterly Board reporting
* Support the preparation of
annual statutory accounts
and respond to internal/external audit and tax queries
* Assist with
month-end and quarter-end close
, including variance analysis versus prior periods and budget
* Prepare
quarterly income forecasts
and support the annual budgeting process
* Compile and analyse
monthly financial and operational statistics
(e.g. aged debtors, asset movements, client income)
* Produce detailed reporting and submissions for
Group Head Office
* Assist with
regulatory reporting
(monthly, quarterly and annual), including but not limited to RS2, RV2, RC2, CRS2, SQ2, MTS, FINREP and ANLA
* Support the preparation and submission of
bi-monthly VAT returns
* Assist with
accounts payable and receivable reconciliations
* Manage
cash flow planning, liquidity and banking relationships
* Oversee treasury activities including payments, investment accounts and credit facilities
* Liaise with finance peers across the wider international group
* Identify opportunities for
process improvement, automation and efficiency
within Finance
* Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required
Experience & Skills Required
Essential
* Third-level qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)
* 5+ years' experience
in a Financial Controller or senior financial reporting role
* Strong experience in
management accounts, forecasting and variance analysis
* Advanced
Excel
skills; confident using PowerPoint and Word
* Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail with the ability to self-review and validate outputs
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
* Ability to work independently in a
fast-paced, regulated finance environment
Desirable
* Exposure to
regulatory reporting
within a banking or asset servicing environment
* Experience with
SAS
and/or
OneSumX
* Prior experience within financial services, asset servicing, banking or fund administration
