Join Our Residential Services in Service Area 4 We are currently recruiting Social Care Workers to join our residential services in Service Area 4, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated and skilled staff team delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a home environment.
Applicants must have previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and be committed to supporting people in leading independent and fulfilling lives.
You will work collaboratively with Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs), staff nurses, social care worker and multi-disciplinary teams, and families to provide holistic and responsive care that upholds individual human rights, dignity, and personal choices.

About St. Michaels House We support over 2,300 individuals and their families across 170 locations in the greater Dublin area.
Services include: Residential and independent living supports.
Respite care.
Day services.
Schools and educational supports.
Vocational training.
St. Michaels House is funded by the HSE, TUSLA, and the Department of Education.
The Role As a Social Care Worker, you will: Support residents in all aspects of daily living in a community-based home.
In adherence to Health Act 2007 (as amended) and the HIQA standards and guidance, and the UNCRPD.
Promote each persons rights, choices, and autonomy in their daily life.
Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans.
Promote community participation, independence, and personal development.
Act as a key worker and advocate for individuals.
Work within a biopsychosocial model to meet residents physical, emotional, social, and psychological needs.
Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and practices to protect residents from harm.
Essential Criteria Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities OR a strong passion and commitment to this area Experience working as part of a team Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans Experience in a key working role that promotes independence and community integration Excellent verbal and written communication skills Eligible to work in Ireland Essential Qualifications (one of the following): QQI Level 7 BA in Applied Social Studies (Disability) Open Training College BA (Hons) in Social Care Practice or Applied Social Care Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies from an Institute of Technology, DIT, or a National University And/or currently CORU registered or actively engaged in the CORU registration process Desirable Criteria Full clean drivers licence and willingness to drive as part of the role.
Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with HSE revised consolidated March 2025 pay-scale based on working a 39-hour week.
Point 1: €39,951 Point 14: €56,089 (based on a 39-hour week) Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
