Internal Sales Manager Location: Portlaoise, County LaoisWe are seeking a highly organized and commercially minded Internal Sales Manager to lead and develop our internal sales team.
The role involves overseeing daily sales operations, driving performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction within a fast-paced steel trading or distribution environment.
This is a key leadership role aimed at maximizing revenue from both new and existing accounts.Key Responsibilities:Manage and lead the internal sales team to achieve company sales targets and KPIs.Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and conduct regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement.Drive day-to-day sales operations, including quotation generation, order processing, and customer communications.Maintain key customer relationships and act as an escalation point for complex inquiries or complaints.Collaborate closely with external sales, procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.Analyze sales data and market trends to inform pricing strategies and customer engagement.Implement and manage sales processes and CRM systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell across the product range.Lead internal sales meetings and provide regular reports to senior management.Ensure the team maintains a high level of product knowledge, especially related to steel grades, applications, and industry standards.Requirements:Proven experience in internal sales, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.Strong knowledge of steel products, grades, and relevant industry applications.Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.High competency in CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Analytical mindset with strong commercial acumen.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service.GW
