About the Role
BuildTech is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our Projects Team. This role involves working closely with one of our Project Managers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality residential works.
The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills across all stages—from structural works to first and second fix—and will ideally have competency across additional trades such as groundworks, formwork, and internal slabbing.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out all residential carpentry works including:
* Roof structures
* First fix carpentry
* Second fix carpentry (timber floors, kitchens, hanging doors, architrave, skirting, etc.)
* Assist with foundation preparation.
* Internal slabbing works.
* General demolition works.
* Liaise with Project Managers and in-house technicians.
* Adhere to BuildTech's quality control standards.
* Maintain high levels of Health & Safety compliance.
* Work in line with all in-house policies and procedures.
Personal Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
* 5–7 years professional carpentry experience.
* Strong experience in residential construction.
* A positive, client-focused, can-do attitude.
* Ability to understand client needs and proactively plan for them.
* Ability to work both on your own initiative and as part of a wider team.
* Strong organisational skills and self-motivation.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Fluent English.
* Flexibility to meet business requirements.
* Competence using mobile-based work applications.
* A high standard of honesty and professionalism.
* Full driver's licence.
* Own set of basic tools.
