Senior Rendering Engineer - Vulkan / DirectX / HLSL / ShaderAn international tech company is hiring a Senior Rendering Engineer to join its Game Engine group. The team is building a next generation graphics engine focused on high performance mobile rendering and GPU optimisation for the company's mobile platform.This is a permanent role, working fully onsite in Dublin in Ireland.What will you do?Design and implement real time rendering systems and engine featuresContribute to planning, technical discussions, and development strategyStay current with advances in rendering and gaming technologyResearch and develop rendering pipelines, material systems, shading systems, and performance improvementsTrack progress in graphics research and propose practical solutions for mobile use casesAnalyse techniques from commercial engines and support adaptation into production ready solutionsCollaborate with industry and academic partners on research directionsWork closely with internal rendering and engine teams to align with product goalsRequired skills:5+ years C or C++ development with strong understanding of system architecture3+ years experience with modern graphics APIs such as Metal, Direct3D 12, or VulkanStrong shader programming abilities in HLSL, GLSL, or MetalStrong understanding of modern rendering techniques and 3D math conceptsExperience with engines such as Unity, Unreal, Godot, or similar, plus tools like RenderDoc, PIX, or NsightDesired skills:Experience working on shipped titlesBackground in engine development across Unity, Unreal, Lumberyard, or proprietary enginesFamiliarity with data oriented design and ECSExperience translating research into efficient codeExperience with Metal or DirectX 12Experience with graphics programming for Android or iOSThis is a chance to contribute to a cutting edge rendering engine used by millions of mobile device users worldwide.In accordance with local employment laws, applicants must have current, valid authorisation to work in Ireland at the time of application.
